WS2MS: Mark Skwarek to Launch "King's Boat!"

but I have perfected the technology and will skipper a much larger boat at my upcoming Wall st to Main St show in Catskill NY- "the King's Boat" http://thekingsboat.blogspot.com/

New Media artist Mark Skwarek will flood the city of Catskill NY and then tour the site in...

"The King's Boat"!!

This project will take place in Catskill NY on March 17th as part of Wall Street to Main Street.

I hope you can make it Saturday, March 17 from 2-5 and for the party afterward from 5-8 at Brik Gallery, 473 Main Street.

Catskill will come to life with exhibitors, performances, seminars and workshops planned for this ten week festival through May 31.

previous augmented reality boat work-

A seaworthy augmented reality rowboat has been achieved and skippered as of Feb 22 2012.

For WS2MS I will build on the knowledge gained during construction of the rowboat to construct a much larger craft.... "The King's Boat!"

He is one of the founding members of the artist augmented reality group manifest.AR. Skwarek earned his M.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design's Digital Media Department. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at New York University Polytech, where he is also a researcher in residence. Reviews of his artwork have appeared in the New York Times, Art in America, Boing Boing, WIRED, the Boston Globe, Washington Post, and Leonardo. Skwarek has exhibited in various venues, including: the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; ISEA; the CyberArts Festival; the Sunshine International Art Museum, Beijing; and the Krannert Art Museum at the University of Illinois.
